Organization is an important skill for both school and life. Students perform better in school when they know what their assignments are, have the necessary materials for completing the work, take good class notes, can find their papers when it is time to turn the work in, and keep work that has been returned so that it can be reviewed for tests. Precious instruction time is lost when students must try to find, or borrow, materials.  Therefore, Los Arboles supports a school-wide binder, organization and planning system which is intended to help students acquire and apply good study habits. 

The following are required supplies for all Los Arboles students: 

• 3-ring binder with at least one and one-half inch metal rings
• At least 6 dividers, one  labeled  or each subject 
• Binder paper, loose leaf college-ruled
• Pouch or container for pencils and pens
• At least 2 pencils
• At least 2 ball point pens (dark blue or black ink)
• Official Los Arboles Handbook and Agenda for the current year, to be kept in binder at all times.
• 2 combination locks, 1 for PE and 1 for outside locker
• White or Gray PE clothes  (sweatpants,sweatshirt, t-shirt and shorts)

Some classes also require a journal, graph paper, or other materials, which will be specified when classes begins. Lab fees may be requested in electives and/or science classes.
