Recent Student Events
10/28 was the Harvest Dance after school from 4:30-6:30. Thank you to all students who came and showed off their moves. Also, a big thanks to the staff who chaperoned.
10/25 - 10/29 was Los Arboles Red Ribbon Week! Students participated in Sock it to drugs day, Team up against drugs day, Put a cap on drugs day and Use your head... don't do drugs day. The week was a success with student participation and a canned food drive!
10/22 - Students were invited to the "Teen Truth Live" presentation. It is an interactive multi-media assembly bringing awareness to the dangers of bullying and school violence. The presentation challenged students to think about their actions and how they impact the lives of those around them.
WASHINGTON D.C. TRIP
ATTN ALL LAMS STUDENTS
Ms. Flanders is organizing a trip to Washington, D.C. during Spring Break of the 2010-2011 school year . She is working with WorldStrides, an organization that has been providing these tours for over 40 years. This trip is excellent for 8th graders studying U.S. History, but all Los Arboles students are invited to join as well.
The approximate cost for the five day trip is $2,000 per student. This covers everything: airfare, bus transportation, hotels, all meals, and admission to all of the places visited. The only money needed after the cost of the program would be a little spending money for souvenirs.
