Independent Study

What is Independent Study?
Independent Study is an instructional strategy that responds to an individual's needs and styles of learning. It is an optional education alternative, available to students from kindergarten through high school. Students are provided with an educational program that is aligned with state and district standards with the support and direction of a credentialed and experienced teacher. All district adopted texts are provided to the students. Students participate in all district testing. Elementary and Middle School students follow the equivalent pacing to the district schools in all courses. High School students take a maxium of four semester courses at a time which are completed in one quarter.
