Common Craft has created a short video, Social Networking In Plain English, which provides a basic overview of how social networking sites work.

The National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign created a Digital Techology 101 page with information, guidance and resources for parents on several digital technology tools – including cell phones, social networking sites, and online videos.

PBS’s FRONTLINE televised Growing Up Online in January 2008 which looked at how the Internet is changing childhood. The site includes online access to the video, as well as links to their research and numerous cyber safety sites.
