J.C. Crumpton Elementary School is a kindergarten through fifth grade school of 439 students and 18 teachers located as a ‘hidden jewel’ in the close-knit community of Marina, California. Our highly qualified staff provides each student with a quality education aligned to rigorous standards, high academic and behavioral expectations, equity, and a solid foundation and preparation for successful lives as citizens in a service and technology-driven global society. Our school enjoys the benefits of a unique friendship with California State University Monterey Bay through its nationally acclaimed Service Learning program, which allows university students to share a variety of gifts, talents, and skills with us throughout the year. Our shared educational vision here at Crumpton focuses on the outcome of our instructional programs, communication, parent and community involvement, multi-cultural and multilingual awareness, accountability, and shared teacher leadership. We are committed to providing the very best that education has to offer our children. Additionally, we invite students who are struggling academically to participate in small-group instruction through an afterschool reading and math intervention. We have three thriving afterschool programs to care for the unique needs of children of working parents.
