It’s a new day at MPUSD. From the districtwide welcome back kick off to the first day of school to wrapping up the end of the first week, the 2015-16 school year is off to a great start and the MPUSD way is quickly taking hold!

Superintendent PK Diffenbaugh has been heard around the district sharing the African proverb, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” He is passionate about this sentiment, and feels strongly that it represents the MPUSD way. Moreover, it embodies five values MPUSD is committed to:

  • Every person matters
  • Each day counts
  • Learn something new every day
  • Improve with purpose
  • We're better together

As promised, earlier this week we will highlight the values in action by featuring MPUSD staff members and their work. This campaign – The MPUSD Way – will be featured on MPUSD’s website and Facebook. It will also be spotlighted each week in the Tuesday MPUSD eNews to all staff.

Your participation is encouraged! Employees will be asked to contribute to The MPUSD Way by sharing and even writing about their colleagues embracing one of the five values. Remember, every person matters and this campaign is inclusive of all MPUSD employees!

As we build our internal communication capacity to reach all employees, we also ask that you post and/or share about The MPUSD Way with those employees who may not have easy access to email or the Internet (e.g., Facilities, Food Services, Maintenance & Ops, Transportation, etc.).

Visit the MPUSD website or MPUSD's Facebook page to see who is featured this week in The MPUSD Way.
