Breastfeeding Support Group
Come to a safe place and
ask an expert about your breastfeeding questions. You can share your
challenges and joys about breastfeeding…and receive support to help you
gain confidence in your breastfeeding experience. You can join anytime.
Class is taught by a
registered nurse/lactation consultant and meets every other Friday.

Families in Control
Parents and teenagers work together to improve
communication and create good family relationships. You will learn how to
set limits and still send the message of love.
If you feel overwhelmed, don’t know how to be firm and stay firm,
bring your teenager and learn together!
Topics of discussion are: arguing, anger control, drugs, school and
homework, and how to talk so you are heard.

Familias en Control
Padres y adolescentes trabajan juntos a mejorar
comunicación y crear buena relación familiar. Se aprenderá como poner
limites pero también expresar el mensaje de amor. Si usted se siente
abrumado(a), no sabe como ser firme y estar firme, traiga a su adolescente
a aprender juntos!
Los temas de discuciones son: discutir, control de ira, drogas, escuela y

Family Reading Time
This special program encourages Latino parents to read
with their children regularly. It’s the perfect way to have family time
and also improve English and Spanish language skills. Parents learn about
bilingual children’s books, talk about topics important to Latino
families, share with other parents, and create a family album to give to
their children. Parents meet for two hours once a week for 10 weeks.
This class follows the Latino Family Literacy Project.
Free childcare provided.
$10.00 materials fee

Tiempo de Lectura con la Familia
Este programa especial anima a los padres Latinos a leer
con sus niños regularmente. Es el modo perfecto para pasar tiempo con la
familia y mejorar su habilidad en el idioma Inglés y Español. Se aprende a
cerca de libros infantiles bilingues, se habla de temas importantes para
familias Latinas, se comparte con otros padres, y se hace un albúm
familiar para darselo a sus niños.

learn to speak conversational French. And it’s fun to take this class!
You will learn French as you
create art and food projects, play games, read books,
sing songs,

Mothers and Daughters Growing Together
Mothers (aunts or grandmas) and their 10-12 year old
daughters spend special time together sharing their feelings, values,
expectations, and practicing decision-making and problem-solving. Without
embarrassment, mothers will learn to answer
their daughter’s questions about sensitive subjects regarding: changes
during puberty, anatomy, hygiene, feelings, and values.
This group meets once a week for a month.

Madres e Hijas Creciendo Juntas
Madres (tías o abuelas) y sus niñas de 10 - 12 años de
edad pasan tiempo juntas compartiendo sus sentimientos, expectativa,
practica en hacer decisiones y solución de problemas. Sin verguenza se
aprenderá a contestar las preguntas de temas sensitivos de las niñas a
cerca de los cambios durante pubertad, anatomía, higiene, y sentimientos.

In this class participants learn together to play with their child in a
safe and positive way to interact with their child.

Un programa para padres y niños de 0 a 5 años
de edad. En esta clase los participantes aprenden a jugar con sus niños
cooperativo y positivo para interactuar con su niño.

Esta clase es de 8 semanas, empieza el 2 de Septiembre
8:30-12 noon
Wear your Helmet on Bicycles, Skate Boards, Scooters,
and Skates
Learn to fit your helmet properly and understand why it
is so important to wear a helmet. Serious and fatal injuries can be
avoided if you and your children wear helmets.
If you received a helmet
violation, this class complies with court requirements to attend bicycle
safety class, or will help reduce your fine.
All court referred participants must provide proof of
helmet ownership and
bring their helmets to class.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent. (Credit card or
money orders only).
Class is in English only.
