Clinical Medical Assistant
This 21-week training program is in
collaboration with Boston Reed College. You will learn the details of
working in the back office, assisting the physician with procedures,
caring for patients, performing simple laboratory tests, and
administering medications.
There are 134 hours of classroom instruction, plus a 160-hour externship
coordinated by Boston Reed.
The course fee is $1685.00
(textbooks not included). Prices are subject to change.

Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)
This is the entry level class into
the growing nursing profession. If you are interested, good workers are
much needed. The 7-week course is fast-paced, with instruction in the
classroom and practical experience learned in a clinical setting.
You must complete and return a pre-registration packet prior to the
start of class. Pick up the packet at Del Monte
School.

Rehabilitation Nurse Assistant (R.N.A.)
Add to your CNA skills with this
2-session class. Build on your clinical abilities and
knowledge during 16 hours of classroom instruction. You will receive 16
CEUs and an
RNA certificate at the end of this class. In order to register you must
present your
CNA certificate or proof of passing the state exam.

Pharmacy Technician
This 27-week training program is in
collaboration with Boston Reed College. You will learn to assist the
pharmacist with mixing and packaging prescriptions, maintain
client records, refer clients to the pharmacist for counseling, assist
with inventory control
and purchasing, as well as collect payments and coordinate billing.
There are 182 hours
of classroom instruction plus a 120 hour externship coordinated by
Boston Reed.
The course fee is $1690.00

Monterey Adult School Home
Phlebotomy
This 88-hour training program is in
collaboration with Boston Reed College. Clinical laboratory and public
health agency workers will learn the art of drawing blood. There are 48
hours of classroom instruction plus a 40-hour externship coordinated by
Boston Reed. You will become proficient in venipuncture with syringe,
vacutainer, butterfly and fingerstick methods. Completing this program
enables you to apply for State certification.
The course fee of $2,035.00 includes
medical equipment and certificate of completion. (textbooks not

This class will give you the basic
background for any profession in the medical field. It is designed to
give general knowledge of medical terms and pre-phlebotomy.

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.)
Learn how to save a life! The first
few minutes after a person suffers a heart attack are
the key for survival. Taking care of the victim prior to the arrival of
professional
help is critical. During the four hours of this class the student learns
the basics
of adult, child, and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation, (CPR) and the
use of the
Automated External Defibrillator, (AED).
