The PTA of Olson School invites you to join our
organization to make a difference in the education and
quality of life for all students in our school. We realize
how important your children and the students in our school
are to you and that you want the best for them!
It's true that children learn more and have better lives
when parents, school staff, students, and the community work
together to achieve common goals! We welcome your
participation in helping us develop and improve projects and
programs in our school. To learn more about our
organization, please join our group and become involved.
The school and PTA newsletters will help keep you informed
of PTA projects, meetings, and school events.
Our goals include the following:

Provide funding to Increase academic development for the
following areas:
-
Reading Incentive: California Reads Program.

Science Lab: Science Program
-
Music Instruction: Music Program
-
Physical Exercise Incentive: Just Run and Run
Across America
-
Sponsor events such as: Fall Carnival, Walk-A-Thon, Art
Show, Ice Cream Social, Movie Night and our Music
Concerts.

Provide financial support for school field trips.
-
Support teachers and students with educational resources
for the classroom.

Thank school staff for their work & dedication with a
fall and spring luncheon.

Help provide accurate information
to parents and the community about the Monterey Peninsula's
Unified School District's important decisions
By becoming a member, your support will bring us closer to
accomplishing these goals.
MEETINGS: One meeting per month. Usually the second
Thursday of the month for about 1 and ½ hours. Time is
usually 5:30-7:00. 10 meetings for the entire year, which
are from August 2006 through May 2007. We look forward to
seeing you there.
