MISSION STATEMENT

JC Crumpton Elementary School, as a multicultural and diverse learning community, prepares each student for academic, social, and personal success by providing a safe, supportive, challenging and meaningful environment.

We will develop and implement a plan to ensure each student demonstrates responsibility and respect to themselves and the learning community.

1.1 Adopt a LIFE SKILLS program which emphasizes individual responsibility and respect as the core values of our school. (YEAR 1)

1.2 Create a center (outside of the classroom) for students who need time to reconnect, reflect, and respond, before rejoining their class. (YEAR 2)

We will create a family/student/teacher partnership in order for each student to achieve academic and personal success.

2.1 Utilize a grade level, weekly report that communicates a student’s academic, social, and personal progress for the family, student, and teacher partnership. (YEAR 1)

2.2 Increase communication via a school e-mail address bank (GroupWise). (YEAR 1)

2.3 Conduct a goal setting conference with a compact, which will include the family, student, and teacher, within the first month of school. (YEAR 2)

We will provide meaningful and challenging educational activities that are appropriate for each student’s academic, social, and personal development.
